Tuolumne Road Hasn’t the Power

The power went out this morning around 11am near Woodham Carne and Tuolumne road, but the outage is more widespread. The high winds continue to topple trees and break branches. PG&E says that they are working to resolve the issues for the 5000+ local customers without power.

Tumblr Photo Posts Not Working With Android

I tried several ways to post pictures to my Tumblr accounts with my new Android phone. I used to have an iPhone. The Android phone, though a bit buggy and complicated at times is a step up for me. Though the iPhone OS and hardware has a much better design, the limitations set upon me by the one and only SJ were driving me nuts. Liberty has its price I guess.  Maybe the open source thing with the Android will get old after a while, but so far I’m mostly satisfied. Until today.

The Tumblr app for iPhone worked very well for me. The Tumblr app for Android, however, wont post photos. I tried 4 different apps including the official app, as well as going to the site through two different Android browsers, but to no avail. I even tried to post a photo via a separate URL…nope; doesn’t work.

I don’t know if this is a lack of will on Tumblr’s part or an ignored technical issue, (or maybe I’m an idiot) but whatever the cause, I’m going to have to issue an ultimatum.

Tumblr, I love you for being the best minimalist blog sites. I love that I can use my own URL. Your design sense is impeccable, but if you can’t fix this problem - at least for an Android market that will surpass IOS - I’m just gonna’ have to see other blog sites…like blogger (ugh).

C’mon Tumblr, stay relevant.
